If you’re like me and you want to play locally with the cool sandbox that is part of Backbase Community Edition, but you run on WinXP Home, or for some other reason you don’t have a local web server running, this simple modification will make this amazing toy available to you:
- In the directory where you unzipped the package, open the file
\\Backbase\\3_0\\starterkits\\sandbox\\chrome\\bb2\\skin.xml - Delete the second line with the <!DOCTYPE> processing instruction
- Save the file
- Load the default index from the local filesystem (doubleclick on it) and then click on the Sandbox link under Starter Kits
- Give me an aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh 😉
